Yes. VCAP is compatible with any violin and any cello, regardless of size or manufacturer. The mounting system was designed to adapt to the instrument without modifications.
It's not required. VCAP can be connected directly to a mixer, preferably through the microphone input. However, when using a wireless transmitter with a built-in preamp, the instrument's presence and sustain become more intense — which many musicians prefer for live performances.
VCAP uses a P10 connection (the same standard as guitar and bass), the larger diameter P10 connector. It's a common cable easily found at any music store.
No. Installation is done by mechanical clip, without glue, screws or any permanent modification to the instrument. It can be installed and removed as many times as you like.
The two models differ in the mounting system — adapted to the anatomy of each instrument — and the internal circuit, optimized for the frequency range and acoustic characteristics of each one.
